Main Services provided by the Authority in the field of records’ management
1 . Provide guidance and advice to the Government on how to properly manage its documents.
2. Organize workshops to clarify confusing areas and important mechanisms in the field of electronic records’ management for governmental institutions and the other administrative units that will join later.
3.Organize training Workshops to explain the special national procedures’ manual specific to the electronic records’ management to provide strategies, rules, and best applications to be taken at all governmental units.
4. Self-evaluation of institutions which are included in the first phase of the project. The evaluation is a form including all the necessary factors and the tasks that would affect the success of the application of the system. The institution should obtain high proportion in the evaluation, to mean, that it is qualified for the success of the application of the system. However if any unit gets low rate, this means, it is still not ready to implement the system successfully.
5. Technical evaluation of the currently used systems in institutions. It is a form through which all the systems used in institutions are evaluated whether they are for correspondence management or records management to see how far they are in convenience with the national procedures’ manual for electronic documents’ management and to underline the deficiencies and study the possibility of substituting it with the electronic documents and archives management system.
